Fencing at Sun Hill:  Fencing would no longer be installed as it was considered unnecessary and restrictive.

Overflow Parking:  SMcC to speak to Clive Surry regarding the use of Perins Car Park as an overflow parking area during the football season.  It was reported that Perins were advertising the ARC as the Gym parking area.  SMcC to speak to Clive Surry regarding this matter.  Perins Car Parking to be put onto the next Full Town Agenda.

Guttering & Changing room repairs:  Resolution: To approve the quote of £850 for the repair of the Corner guttering and the sticking changing room doors at the ARC. Proposed:  Cllr.Power.  Seconded:  Cllr. Yeldham (AGREED).  A request for a maintenance budget to be put to the Full Council.

Goal Posts: TI to remove existing goal posts as they no longer conform to safety standards and replace with two new sets of goal posts at Sun Hill.

SPORTS AND YOUTH

Football - Football training had started.  Games commenced in August and included the FA cup game.  TI to liaise with AJ regarding the arrangements to be made for the cricket/Football cross-over.  It was reported that there would be a Sunday team commencing this season at Stratton Bates.  Everything was in place for the Youth sections.  Steve Hull to contact TI regarding the forthcoming Party in the Park.  TI to liaise with Pete Bridge regarding the football pitch grass cutting..

Rugby – HO reported that the Rugby Club continued to train throughout the Summer and held Summer fund raising events.  Youth teams were dependant upon acquiring the land adjoining Arlebury Park.

Tennis - The Planning application for the Tennis Pavillion was now with WCC - No Report.

Youth – SMc reported that the Alresford and District Partnership would be meeting on 12th September where it was scheduled to debate a Junior Chapter of the Partnership.

Finance:  The current figures were presented - No queries were raised.

Play Equipment - The additional input received regarding Play equipment was constructive.  Sun Hill was the most secluded play area and was prone to vandalism.  Where possible hardy/vandal-proof equipment should be given preference.  The refurbishment of the Sun Hill fort was quoted as £16K unless a local contractor could restore the fort at a more reasonable cost consideration should be given to install a larger the item of equipment covering a bigger footprint.   A 20% discount was offered on the dual abled/disabled bodied equipment.  The Clerk had arranged for a representative to view the Stratton Bates site to give a costing for this equipment. SM, MP, SMcC to meet at 7.30 13th July to select Play equipment.  Clerk to obtain quotes on selected equipment.
