Mr. J Sturgis: Delivery

Clerk to write general letter requesting consideration be given to all other
road users during delivery times. FINANCE: Significant progress is
being made for NATC accounts to be configured into the new Sage system. No exposures have been thrown up. The new Clerk, starting October 3rd,
will be dealing with finance. ALLOTMENTS: All plots are currently
occupied and there is a waiting list comprising 21 names. It was reported that in 2008 the Committee
might look into the cost of increasing the site into the backfield. Urgent
Business: Bus shelter Jacklyns Lane: The glass from
the bus shelter has been broken and cleared away by unknown persons. The incident has been reported and a crime
number allocated. Resolution: Arrange for glass to be replaced by SERCO. (Proposer:
Cllr Gentry, Seconder: Cllr Yeldham) AGREED (Claim
to be made to Zurich for cost) Update on Parking
Discussions at Perins: Currently six options on the table: Option 1. will provide 71
car parking spaces, a net increase of 45 at a cost of £90,000. Option 2-6. will provide a
different number of spaces for each option with a maximum of 78 (net 58) at a
cost in each case of £120,000. It is
considered that none of these proposals fully utilize the site and there is
still room for a further 70 spaces which could form part of a phase 2
development. The total cost of this
(option 7) would be £200,000, if completed next year but would give 140 – 150
spaces (net 125). Funding would come
from WCC 20,000, SEEDA 40,000 - £60,000.
The balance could come form Section 106 Development Fund, estimated at
£55,000. It is possible further 106
Development Funds may be available from; Hankins, The Swan and the Coal Yard
developments. The section
77-consultation process, which takes ten weeks, is being started this month. BROAD STREET: Resolution: To write to New Alresford Town Trust to request they
