Purchase of 3 cycle racks; 2 on each of graveled area in Broad St and 1 at Arlebury Park Resolution to be put to Full Council for ratification of cost £600 Proposed Cllr Gentry Seconded Cllr Yeldham

6.1 Signage – HCC dealing with

6.2 Future Events clean up – Cllr Yeldham advised local volunteers to action on 15th March 2008 will liaise with WI.  Annual events - Letter to be pre book clean up with HCC 2 weeks prior to event – Bonfire Night/Watercress Festival and Fair

7 Parking

Mr McBRayne, Asst Parking Manager  of WCC advised of hot spots re parking issues in Alresford and is highlighting them to Parking Enforcement Team

 

Cllr Gentry updated meeting on Perins parking - Pressing ahead as Perins had received no objections from Parents. Need to submit to Government for change of use of land. If approval in March work can begin in School Summer holidays if not Perins agreed to work during term time. Aim for 50 spaces during school hours and 70 spaces at weekends. Pay and Display

 

New Alresford current parking issues – Cllr Gentry suggested once Perins parking in place we can look to improve Warden/Policing parking in town.  NATC had suggested putting in warden six days a week 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours  in the afternoon. NATC prepared to discuss making up any deficiency.   NATC have great consideration for sensitive conservation areas with ticketing machines.

8 Correspondence

8.1 The Soke Clearance – Previous volunteer group no longer in existence Obtain quote from P Bridges to clear

8.2 Flint Wall The Avenue – specific location to be identified for repair

8.3 Footpath Beech Rd and Chestnut Walk – HCC response passed to resident. Check how many dog bins in location

8.4 Potholes reported  HCC to inspect and repair

8.5 Coop unsafe slabs – Inspected, reported to HCC comment no repair required.

8.6 Wayfarer’s Walk/Oxdrove Way Fly tipping  advised HCC notified of     specific locations and clearing areas – Complainant advised

8.7 Footpath South Rd Ashburton Rd Contact HCC for clear up of this area

8.8  Dog Bins in Churchyard –investigate archives for locations/numbers of dog bins

8.9 Parking Broad St – Advise resident of  parking time  6pm-11am

8.10 Overhanging trees – Cllr Gentry suggested NATC on this occasion will arrange to trim back and cut Ivy from the trees.  Advised that any overhang on property is allowed to be managed by the resident and no permissions required. Contact P Bridges for work to be done and advise residents

9 Potholes

Cllr Cattle expressed concerns at the amount of potholes in surrounding roads to Alresford, Old Alresford, Itchen Abbas,  Bishops Sutton etc.  Letter to be sent re condition of these minor roads and lanes to Steven Black of the Winchester District Association and Hampshire Association of Parish and Town Councils copy to Town Partnership

10 Allotments

10.1 Extension of site in Spring Road -Resolution to put forward to Full Council to accept the additional land as outlined in the Letter from Tichborne Estates at a cost of £400 pa and to proceed with the ground works as quoted from Pete Bridges up to £2,000 Proposed Cllr Cattle Seconded Cllr Yeldham

Noted that Insurance Company to meet the claim of the repair to Bus Shelter Jacklyns Lane.
