Arlebury Park
Arlebury Park is the main centre for sporting activities in Alresford and has
recently been expanded to provide additional changing rooms and improved
recreational facilities. The building also houses the Town Council
Offices.
The park is situated a few steps from the main town centre
and has magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
If you exit
the park at the kissing gate at the bottom of the park, passed
the Skateboard area, you will join that section of the Millenium
Trail where the riverside walk leads to the Eel House.
This peaceful
oasis offers leisure activities for all ages. There is a play
area for children and just outside is an arial runway, much loved and
used by all ages. The new Petanque Terrain and picnic tables are
situated alongside the play area. Nearer to the main building are football
pitches and the cricket strip and beside the building there are the two,
newly renovated, tennis
courts.
The building is the home of the ARC
which has a small intimate bar and a main function hall which has its own
bar facilities. The ARC's balcony overlooks the park where
residents and visitors alike can sit and enjoy the Arlebury Park panoramic
views..
